Rival Factions by Project 86
Release Date: June 19, 2007

This is Project 86's 6th album in nine years. Though growing older, they haven't lost any of their edge. They have become
well know from their intense live shows and creativity. Rival Factions is no different. "Evil" is the first track,
it was also the first song released. It is very melodic for Project 86 standards, but still is a very good song. The next
track is "Put Your Lips To The T.V.", this song has some of the Project 86 edge you would expect from them but it has a sort
of pop feeling. The next song is "The forces of Radio Have Dropped A Viper Into The Rythymn Section", it sounds like the old
Project 86 but has some of a ...And The Rest Will Follow... feel. "Molotov" follows, and then is "Slaves To Liberty",
which is a harder song compared to tracks before this. "Pull Me Closer, Violent Dancer" is a song I thought I would
never hear before from Project 86. This song has lyrics such as "Don't Stop Pulling Me Closer", that's not a typical Project
song. "Illuminate" is the seventh track, and could be my favorite song on the album next to "Evil". Then next is "The Sanctuary
Hum", "Caveman Jam", and "Normandy". Overall, Rival Factions is somewhat a suprise to a lot of longtime fans but
none the less is a great rock album. It is very unique to say the less.
