The Black Rose EP by Blindside
Release Date: June 27, 2007

Blindside's first release since 2005 letdown, The Great Depression, is The Black Rose EP. This album gives you a good preview on what to expect next January from Blindside. The EP starts off with five new songs and ends with three live tracks. The first song is "The Way You Dance"; it is the best song on the album in my opinion. This song is something I'd expected to be on one of their older albums (which is a good thing!). "Slowmotion" is next, and is also a very good song. "Pretty Nights" follows, this song sounds like something on The Great Depression, but it is a very catchy song that you'll be listening over and over again.  "The Color of My Eyes" is the fourth track, and is a great track! This track sounds like it should be on About A Burning Fire. The fifth track is "Black Rose", which slows things down on the album. This song is just acoustic, but is a nice break from all the screaming. The next three tracks are "My Alibi", "Fell In Love With The Game", and "When I Remember". Those tracks are live tracks recorded from the Hultsfred Festival last summer. Overall, an amazing album, it makes it look like Blindside's 2008 release will be a must have for any hard rock fan!
